Kurt represents clients in complex civil litigation. He has experience in multiple stages of litigation, including pleading, discovery, motions practice, trial preparation, and appeals.
Kurt joined Goldman Ismail after a two-year clerkship at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. During his clerkship, Kurt managed a federal docket of over 150 active civil and criminal cases; drafted judicial opinions in a host of practice areas, including antitrust, bankruptcy, contracts, civil rights, immigration, torts, labor, and employment law; and assisted with judicial trial duties and jury management.
Kurt graduated with honors from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, Trident University, and Purdue University, earning a J.D., an M.B.A., and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Before law school, Kurt served as a special operations pilot for the United States Air Force, and he remains a reservist with the Illinois Air National Guard.
