Shayna Cook Named to Bloomberg Law’s ‘Unrivaled’ Litigators List 

Goldman Ismail partner Shayna Cook was selected as one of 25 trial lawyers honored in the 2026 edition of Unrivaled, an annual feature by Bloomberg Law highlighting litigators leading the profession in high-stakes matters. 

"This year's Unrivaled honorees handled some of the most significant litigation in the country, demonstrating the strategic thinking and advocacy that define excellence in trial practice," said Lisa Helem, executive editor, Bloomberg Industry Group. "Their experiences offer valuable lessons for litigators at every stage of their careers." 

The publication recognized Shayna and the Goldman Ismail team’s victory earlier this year in the first Paragard bellwether trial and asked her how she develops strategies and faces challenges.  

"I do my best to master the facts, to not overreach, and to signal to the jury that they can rely on me to shoot straight,” Shayna said, when asked about her approach to winning over jurors. 

Bloomberg also asked Shayna for advice she gives to young trial lawyers: “I encourage junior lawyers to take care of themselves at trial. I urge them to find habits that work for them, whether exercise, meditation, foam rolling, or dance parties. And to prioritize sleep whenever they can!”
