Emma Ross Appointed Chair of IADC Trial Techniques and Tactics Committee, Launches ‘Next Level Lawyering’ Podcast Series

Goldman Ismail partner Emma Ross has been appointed chair of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Trial Techniques and Tactics Committee for the 2026-2027 term. In this role, she will build on the committee’s work as a forum for candid, practical conversations about what works in the courtroom.

Emma and previous committee chair Bob Christie of Baker Sterchi created a five-episode series of the IADC Speaks podcast, Next Level Lawyering. In each episode, the hosts are joined by a first-chair trial lawyer for a conversation about a different aspect of trial practice. The first episode, available now, features Warren Butler of Starnes Davis Florie and focuses on jury selection.

Founded in 1920, the IADC serves approximately 2,500 invitation-only, peer-reviewed members. Its mission is to support the legal profession and civil justice system through education, professional development and thought leadership.
