Thomas litigates complex cases in federal, state, and arbitral forums across the United States. He has represented various clients, including pharmaceutical manufacturers, in disputes involving product liability, antitrust, intellectual property, and commercial contracts.
Thomas has substantial experience managing all phases of litigation, including fact and expert discovery, motions practice, depositions, trial preparation, and mediation. He has successfully argued discovery and dispositive motions, taken fact and corporate-representative depositions, worked extensively with expert witnesses, and developed briefing and case strategy in high-stakes matters.
Before joining Goldman Ismail, Thomas practiced at a national firm and clerked for Judge Thomas L. Kirsch II of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and for Judge James Patrick Hanlon of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. He graduated from Harvard Law School, where he served as an editor of the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology. Before law school, Thomas earned his B.S. in Economic Consulting and Public Policy Analysis, with honors and highest distinction, from Indiana University. He also taught middle school mathematics in Hawaiʻi through Teach for America.
