Sam’s diverse litigation practice includes products liability, commercial disputes, and intellectual property. He has argued in federal district and appellate courts and arbitration proceedings, taken and defended depositions, drafted high-stakes motions, overseen discovery, prepared experts for disclosure and testimony, and negotiated successful settlements.
Sam is committed to service within and in addition to his legal practice. He holds public office in Chicago as a Police District Councilor, an elected position focused on public safety and policing. He represents clients in pro bono class action impact litigation, and serves on the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs Board and the Cabrini Green Legal Aid Associate Board.
Before joining the firm, Sam practiced in Washington, D.C., and completed a federal clerkship in the Northern District of Illinois. Sam earned his B.A. cum laude from Yale University and his J.D. magna cum laude from New York University School of Law, where he served as a legal intern in the Obama administration’s White House Counsel’s Office.
