Nia represents clients in complex civil cases. She has experience at all stages of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeals.

Nia joins Goldman Ismail after completing two clerkships, one on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and one with the Northern District of Illinois. During her Seventh Circuit clerkship, she prepared bench memoranda and drafted judicial opinions. During her district court clerkship, she drafted judicial opinions, served as the lead clerk during a multi-day criminal trial, and supervised externs on writing assignments.

Nia graduated cum laude from Trinity College, Connecticut where she competed on the women’s swimming and diving team. She went on to graduate cum laude from Michigan Law School. In law school, she was the Managing Editor of the Michigan Law Review and the Chair of the Henry M. Campbell Moot Court Board, and she served as a student attorney in the Michigan Innocence Clinic. Nia received the Jenny Runkles award during her second year of law school for her commitment to improving the Law School community and society through devotion to public interest. At graduation, she also received the Henry M. Bates Memorial Scholarship Award, presented to outstanding seniors in the Law School, for her scholarship in legal studies, character, extracurricular interests, and promise of a distinguished career.
