Allyson Miller Julien and Julia Zasso Named 2025 American Lawyer Industry Award Finalists
We’re pleased to announce two Goldman Ismail attorneys have been named finalists for the 2025 American Lawyer Industry Awards. Partner Allyson Miller Julien is a finalist for Young Lawyer of the Year (Litigation) and associate Julia Zasso is a finalist for Most Promising Newcomer.
The Young Lawyer of the Year (Litigation) Award honors a lawyer under 40 “who has shown exceptional work in any litigation practice in the last two years.” Recently, Allyson has secured multiple favorable outcomes for Merck as co-lead counsel in ongoing litigation in defense of its HPV vaccine, Gardasil. These include a favorable mid-trial adjournment in the first Gardasil trial in January 2025 and a summary judgment MDL win in March 2025.
Most Promising Newcomer honors a lawyer in practice for 3 years or less “who has quickly made an extraordinary impact.” Within a year of joining Goldman Ismail as an associate, Julia has been entrusted with handling a key defense theme in a major nationwide litigation for a significant firm client, serving as a point person for trial, witness, and expert preparation across thousands of cases.
Winners will be announced at the award ceremony in New York on November 13. See the full list of finalists here.
