Lauren recently completed federal clerkships in the Seventh Circuit and Northern District of Illinois. Prior to clerking, Lauren practiced in the Intellectual Property Litigation group of an Am Law 10 firm, where she focused on patent litigation. Lauren graduated summa cum laude from Yale University with a degree in Chemistry and earned her law degree from Yale Law School. Lauren brings a wealth of technical background to her cases, drawing on her experience as a visiting scientist for the FBI’s Laboratory Division and as a consultant for an applied-science- and-technology company.
Consumer Electronics Litigation
Represents a Fortune 10 consumer-electronics company in eight patent-infringement cases relating to telecommunications, user-interface, computer-security, and battery technologies. Following the dismissal of several of these suits, the remaining actions are pending in the summary-judgment and discovery phases, with the first trial expected before the end of 2018.
Defended a major pharmaceutical and consumer-goods company against claims that its sunscreen products infringed a patent.
Insulin Pump Litigation
Defended a medical-device manufacturer in a patent-infringement suit concerning insulin-pump technology.
